Today’s reel is focused on Stephanie from Stef-n-Ty

She grew up in Annapolis MD but has lived in many big cities across the US, and she now resides in in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico.

As a kid, Stephanie learned upcycling from her grandma. She was the neighborhood seamstress, so not only did she teach her to sew, she set the example by repurposing fabric. buttons, trims, zippers. What couldn’t be used for clothing was used for cleaning rags.

Detroit ended up being where she was inspired to give upcycling a start over 15 years ago. The only craft shop selections were Joann’s basically so a friend introduced her to a store called Arts and Scraps that was way out of the curve with de-stashes, estate sales and donations. The ideas started immediately and she hasn’t stopped since.
